P133F is #8 glowplug hot resistance fault. Did you determine if the Elevated Idle is enabled? Are you using remote start? If not, are you giving waiting for glowplug light to go out before turning key to ‘start’? Elevated idle was not activated….it is now though.
What’s the Check Engine light on a Duramax?
Started up fine. Only thing i noticed was that the oil pressure was pegged out at 120 and the battery was around 10 or 11 marker on the gauge. Ran and drove fine. Keep in mind the temp was around 18F this morning when i left for work. You will need a scanner to pull the codes.
Are there any problems with my 2003 Duramax?
Thaks for the help. injectors,water pump,headgaskets,injectors again,instrument cluster,steering shaft,pinion seal,and injectors again. I have on 03 with 66,000 on it and know problems. Friend of mine has 03 asmost same truck and know problems with 145,000 on it. Sure love mine. P:S Injectors should be warrantied to 200,000.
Why does my GMC Duramax have high oil pressure?
High oil pressure at cold weather start up is normal for these engines. Remote start and a little time letting the Elevated Idle function do it’s thing before driving the truck goes a long way to warming the oil enough start the pressure drop process.

Why did my Chevy Duramax lose power under load?
Follow diagnostic chart, test system pressure, relief valve failed” so they replaced the FPRV. More limps and a year later there was a P0101 code indicating the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor failed so I had it replaced. The air filter was changed then too.
Can a GMC Duramax run with no trailer?
Dropped the boat, let it sit a while then it ran great with no trailer. Took it back and they replaced “some fittings”. So 2 months later, I don’t fish near enough, I drove it 8 hrs to the coast and hooked up to a boat. It ran about 5 miles. Same thing , light comes on loss of power but can feather it up to 40-50 but cant push it.
