Flush coolant at least every 2 years or the engine will gum up and overheat. most of all keep the battery in good condition the starter or sprag clutch is a known weak point and failure means a major engine strip. Some of these had restrictive inlet rubbers on the carbs, an easy upgrade is to change them.

Why did my change oil soon light just come on?
In a perfect world the oil light would be connected to some sensors that actually checked the oil quantity, viscosity, pH, clarity, lubricity, and contaminant levels.
