Don’t know any solutions, but the cause is just the bent trim on the outside of the door. My 96 is in the same boat. This is due to locking keys in the car, and having to pry the door open just enough to fit a slim jim in there to unlock the car. I have the same noise going down the highway. It IS pretty annoying!
