Start by making sure you have power to the step motor. Then trace the wiring all the way to the battery. You are looking for loose or broken wires, poor continuity, bad grounds, or blown fuses. Dang! for the last two weeks the steps have been stuck in the down position. Yesterday i decided to go through the motions again and test the connections. I pulled the 30amp in-line fuse for the power steps, pulled and reinstalled the connector plug at the power step control module.
