When did Ford start using six speed transmission?
Back in 2013, Ford and GM came together in the hope of wowing their customers with a design that would blow their minds. Are there any problems with the Ford 10 speed transmission?
Ford 10 speed transmission problems have largely been a result of this decision. Ford has been slow to respond on some counts although there have been recalls issued in some instances.
How does adaptive transmission work on Ford trucks?
In Ford’s words the trucks are equipped with an adaptive transmission shift strategy which allows the vehicle to learn the transmission’s unique parameters and improve shift quality. If the adaptive strategy was reset the computer would begin a relearning process and that would require harsher than normal upshifts or downshifts for several days.
What’s the span of a 10 speed transmission?
Despite its relatively wide spread between 1st and 10th gear, the overall span for the 10-speed transmission is hardly the widest out there. At 7.384, it was determined (through extensive simulations) that there was no real benefit to widening the span to 7.4 or greater.

Is the Ford ZF used on 460 desiles?
I know that the ZF was use on 460 and 7.3 Desiles. And a 400M has a big block bell housing bolt pattern. Has any one done this. Does any one have any ideas. I drive 42 miles to work and 42 mile frome work every day in my 79 f150 and I love the truck but the fuel cost is starting to get old.
