Dash lights, tail lights and parkers are all of one tab, L/H low beam, R/H low beam, L/H High beam and R/H high beam are all on their own copper tabs. (5 tabs in total…..) I posted this a few years ago, have a go yourself before lashing out on a new switch.
What to do if your tail lights are not working?
There is no relay involved. You could try a new fuse (I know you have checked, but just to be sure), and try playing with the combination switch. You may end up needing to pull it apart to give it a clean inside. Checked the trailer plug wiring?

So it is almost ready for the road but one problem is when the headlights are turned on the tail lights do not come on, the indoor roof light does not come on, and the dash lights do not work. They did work for a couple of seconds and I heard a fizzling noise and poof all of these things do not work.

There is always power to the fuse on the battery side regardless if the fuse is blown. When the fuse blows, it stops the current from continuing to the component. Now, regardless if the lights are on or not, there should always be power at the fuse, on both sides of the fuse if it is good, or only on the battery side, if the fuse is blown.

Check under the hood, under the dashboard, or near or in the glove compartment. Once you find the fuse box or boxes, remove the lid and check the diagram on the underside of the lid for a fuse labeled “dash lights” or just âlights.â Refer to your ownerâs manual if you have trouble locating the fuse boxes or the dashboard light fuse.
