Is the solar Sync module installed on a controller?
Wires from the Solar Sync module to the controller have been severed. Is the Solar Sync module installed on a controller that has the SOLAR SYNC dial position? If so, remove the module. There is an issue between the module and the sensor itself. Assess your wire connections, power the controller down and back up again.

If you do have special characters and your Sync Module serial number is less than 2xx-200-000, you may need to temporarily change your SSID and password to only letters/numbers and try the setup procedure again. Once your system is online, your Sync Module will be automatically updated to the latest firmware version.
How to test SWI 2 wire in sync harness?
• Locate the SWI 2 wire in the vehicle Sync harness. • To test the SWI 2 wire, use a multimeter. • Connect the BLACK test probe to ground (-) and connect the RED test probe to the wire SWI 2 wire. If the SWI 2 wire is connected, the multimeter will display approximately 5 volts.

How does the blink Sync module 2 work?
Only the Blink Outdoor, Indoor (gen 2), and Mini cameras are able to store imagery directly from the camera to a USB drive inserted into the Sync Module 2. This is called Local Storage. When you are using Local Storage and add an older camera, it is configured to use the 7200 seconds of basic cloud storage given to all older devices.
