However, the delivery guy asked me if I trusted my drievway to carry his fully loaded 12 yard truck. The driveway appears to be ~5-6″ thick concrete at the edge (4″ center probably) and appears to be laid over gravel.

Unless you’ve had drainage problems around the drive or it was laid over a marsh, the weight of a bob tail load of dirt shouldn’t crack it provided as I said there isn’t preexisting problems.
