How big are the rotors on a Ford Transit?

Original rotor thickness appears to be 18mm. On the outside lip the left rotor measured 17.92mm and the right rotor 17.99mm. On the braking surface, the left rotor measured 17.41mm and the right rotor measured 16.94mm so it looks like the rotors only have slight wear and do not need replacement.

Are there recalls on 2015 Ford Transit 250?

My 2015 Transit 250 was at the dealer yesterday for scheduled maintenance and the two recalls. The van has 20,500 miles on it and the dealership called to say I needed new rear pads & rotors, but didn’t have parts on-hand.

Why are the brake pads not working on my Ford Transit?

If sufficient force is not applied, the internal park brake mechanism clutch cone will not engage and the piston will not compress. If installing new brake pads, retract the brake caliper pistons into the brake caliper bore. Changed the rear pads today at 35k. They were doing some extra loud groaning in reverse.

What are the wear limits for rear rotors?

The tool uses the indentations to spin the piston, the pad bumps keep the piston from turning during use). A moderate to heavy force toward the caliper piston must be applied.
