Can a Ford Expedition go on a ski trip?
Can a Ford Expedition go on a ski trip?
Effectively, yes. Couldn’t take it on a ski trip this weekend because the used pump we installed is still not reliable. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn’t. Didn’t want to drive it 300 miles to the mountains on the chance that we would be stranded.
Is there a problem with my Ford Expedition fuel pump?
We purchased our 2005 Expedition 4 1/2 years ago and have enjoyed it. It has posed very few problems. About 3 weeks ago, we experienced problems starting the car, and our independent mechanic diagnosed it as a broken fuel pump. However, we cannot locate a replacement pump (Part No. 6L1Z9H307A) anywhere in the country.
When did my 2005 Ford Expedition stop running?
I, too, had a 2005 Expedition I bought brand new. On 12/23/09, I backed out of the garage and it quit running. Would not start – have never had an issue with this one or any other Expedition. Had it towed to dealer – said needs fuel pump for the tune of 960.00.

I don’t feel I should be penalized for buying a lemon.

This is typically a transmission related issue. Here are the most common cause of acceleration with the RPM’s going up:
Is the Check Suspension light on on my Ford Expedition?
Yes sir, the check suspension light is on, I check the switch and switch on and off couple of time with no luck. They told me all the fuses are okay, that the problem is that the pump is burnt out and the relay is bad. I guess I must come up with $1500 to replace the pump. Sorry to hear about that.
When did I Buy my Ford Expedition transmission?
I bought mine in October 2004 from a leasing company ( company service records were complete) and within the first month the trans completely failed. It started out slowly, but soon I noticed that the trans fluid was filled with metallic particles, and was dark, and burnt.
