Data Link scanner must target whatever it wants to scan and be within a tiny range – sub 400m in ship, usually in SRV if can target its close enough already and can scan it from there. Comp Scanner does not need to target the object its scanning, just be looking/pointing at it and usually glows a bit to show its found something.
Is the datalink scanner active on buttton 1?
Data point is active. I’ve tried putting data link scanner on buttton 1, button 2, switching between combat and explore mode etc etc. Data point is active as it has raised up (and says active!) Composition? There is no separate fire group option for turret unless I’m missing something??? Edit.. Thought you were in a ship. Not working either.

Just for the record, both data & comp scanners in SRV work in both Combat & Analysis so no need to switch modes, can be left in Combat. Why is the OBD II scanner not communicating?
Check the fuse box (Power Panel), it might be the reason why PCM isn’t able to receive power as well as communicate.

Dec 24, 2008 I have been having so much trouble with this car so I finally went out and bought a nice OBD II Scanner. Relief came when the scanner arrived but it did not last long. I booted it up correct and as it tried to connected I get “Linking Error”.
