Why does my gear indicator keep flashing when I Turn Off the engine?
Every time I reverse out of the driveway, the gear indicator starts flashing. It continues to do so when changed to Drive and the car loses power. I have found that turning the engine off then starting again corrects the problem and doesn’t reoccur for the rest of the day. It always happens on the first drive of the day.
Why is the gear indicator not working on my Harley?
1,) The gear indicator is designed to not display with the clutch engaged while underway during normal operation. So, the ECU needs to know the clutch status in order to do this. 2.) The ignition is designed not to start while the bike is in gear and the clutch is disengaged.
Why is the reverse drive indicator light blinking?
I got the same issue with blinking R/D/N after start + moved gear shift from P to R at the parking lot. The engine light also was lit after it started blinking. 2016 GC 3.0 Diesel. After a retry of putting gear shifter back to P->R once or twice it worked. I also restarted engine afterwards, but problem wasn’t reproduced.
