Why does my Ford Escape battery keep draining?
I too had a battery drain on a 2011 Ford Escape from rear wiper being stuck up. When the motor doesn’t complete it’s circuit it stays on which is why the battery drains. I had my dad disconnect the motor, and it solved the problem. However, shorty after that fluid stopped coming out of my front wipers.

What’s the current draw on a Ford Escape battery?
Until the electronics dozed off (45 minutes or so…) all of those 4 cars would have a current draw of 700 or so Milliamperes. Once asleep it was about 60-70 Milliamperes. So any test for current draw should be done at least an hour after shutdown. Maybe things are not going to sleep as they should.
Reap wiper seized and kept causing the battery to drain. Had to boost it every morning to get it going. Went to the local mechanic and he couldn’t figure it out. Battery, starter and alternator came back fine. Brought it to Ford dealer and that same day they had it fixed. Seemed like a known issue. Battery drains only every second day.

What should the battery voltage be in a Ford Escape?
The battery should be at 12 volts when the car isn’t running. You should see 14.2 volts at idle speed. The common problem I have experienced is the battery manufacturer. My main problems have been Johnson Control made batteries and going forward, I will do my best to find another manufacturer. Battery drain after 2 weeks of no driving.
