Perhaps the circuit breaker is not resetting. If this is the case you probably need an electrician to find the short circuit. Probably doesn’t apply to you but we have 3-phase here. If one phase in the street goes out half the house does as well, but it’s a mixture of lights and power.

Bought a new one and it is spot on. Bikes can run without a battery because when the flywheel turns over the pickup coil it creates its own power. TGB-Tuning likes this. So try it with no battery and see how it goes, Depending on the age of the battery i would replace it there cheap anyway so……

It’s not enough to just have power coming in, it has to be able to flow back out, too. It flows out on the neutral. You can use your meter to check for 120v. between the known hot wire and the related neutral. Since you’ve been accessing both the fixture and the switch, a neutral problem would most likely be in the connections there.
