This 3.1 liter in these cars is the worst engine gm makes to work on.The lifters are loud especially when cold and with engine sideways everything hard to get at.I had to buy a special wrench to change thermostat (buried) starter buried in frame.Decent gas mileage but will never own another gm with a 3.1 liter..3.8 liter the best they make.
