Radio buttons on steering wheel that allow you to change from one station to another work when car is simply turned on (engine not running), but don’t work when engine is turned on. (Can’t change from one preset station to another).

Where does the radio control go on a steering wheel?
The wires that control the radio from the steering go to the Body Control Module (BCM), not directly to the radio. The BCM sends data over the serial bus to the radio. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address. If this is the lights for the switches in the steering wheel, these are LED’s.

What to do if your steering wheel is not working?
Third, the upgrade to SYNC3 replaces your APIM+display and replaces or reprograms your ACM (along with required swap of the USB port in the console and attendant loss of SD card slot). Obviously, if your problem is in the ACM, reprogramming of that module may not cure your problems.
