Where is the resistor on a Ford Escape?
Where is the resistor on a Ford Escape?
The resistor is normally found behind the glove box, next to the blower motor. The average cost for a Ford Escape Blower Motor Resistor Replacement is between $98 -$108. Learn More The blower can work only on the level 4.
How much does it cost to replace a blower on a Ford Escape?
The average cost for a Ford Escape Blower Motor Resistor Replacement is between $98 -$108. Learn More The blower can work only on the level 4. Bought the resistor from dealer and replaced myself . worked good.
Why is my Ford Escape not blowing air?
Share it! The 2008-2012 Ford Escape with manual temperature and fan controls may have problems with the the blower motor only blowing air on certain settings. Most commonly the fan will only run on the highest setting. This is a well documented problem, and is caused by a failing blower motor resistor.
Why does my Ford Escape only run on high setting?

Where is the blower motor resistor located on a Ford Escape?
FWIW the WSM calls for removal of the accelerator pedal to R&R that component. On the automatic system there’s no component labeled as “Blower Motor Resistor” but instead a “Blower Motor Control Module” in the same location as well as other blower control components elsewhere. Hope that helps.

Referencing the Workshop Manual …. On the manual system there’s a component labeled “Blower Motor Resistor” under a 4-pin connector plugged into the [EDIT -] driver’s side of the HVAC plenum just below the motor itself (about 7 o’clock position relative to the motor). FWIW the WSM calls for removal of the accelerator pedal to R&R that component.
What should the resistance of a blower motor resistor be?
For example, in this photo we measured the resistance of this blower motor resistor. According to the service manual, it must be around 4-5 ohms. In our case the ohmmeter shows open circuit, which means the resistor has failed. Sometimes, a blower motor resistor might fail due to problems with the blower motor itself.
How to calculate the escape velocity of an object?
This formula is derived using the idea of conservation of energy, where the sum of the kinetic energy and the gravitational energy of an object equal the energy at the maximum altitude. For the earth, this velocity is 11.2 kilometers per second or 25,950 miles per hour.
How is the speed needed to escape the earth calculated?
We must be going at a very high speed, but how high? The escape velocity, as the minimum velocity that will allow a small body to escape from another body, can be calculated using the formula v = sqrt (2Gm/r), where G is the gravitational constant, r is the distance from the center of the body with a mass of m.

What kind of circuit does Ford Escape have?
The motor, switch, and resistors are on a dedicated 40 amp circuit. These values are from a Ford issued schematic identifying the card as 19A706, and are very close to what I meter on the (new) card for my 2010.5 Escape.
When did the resistor board move from the cabin?
They do not apply to 2010. The resistor board location has moved since 2008. It used to be just inboard of the cabin fan motor. They were so close that If you wanted to pull the motor, you needed to unplug the wire harness from the resistor board as well as the motor.
