Limited w/ 3500 miles and backup camera just went blue w/ Check surrounding at top. 2 days ago the whole 12.1 screen went blank, heater turned on full blast and windows wouldn’t roll down. If the doors would have locked it would have made a good horror movie scene! The next day everything worked fine???
What to do if your back up camera is intermittent?
You might be able to interchange the side cameras with the rear view camera input to see if the cameras are at fault or the switch for the turn signal feed to the monitor, or the soft switch (relay) inside the monitor that controls what camera is displayed on screen. Try taking a few pictures, (I realize that you cannot ‘see’ what you are taking) and then download them to a computer to see if there is any pictures at all or just black pictures.
