What to do if your truck has two alternators?

I switched motors in my 05 with a 06 that had two alternators. I used the donor motor’s wire harness. When the truck has two alternators the computer randomly picks which one it uses to charge the system. There is a fix for this with a jumper clip.

Click to expand… X2 on the DC Power alternator I bought the 250a but they sent me the 270a I have not had a problem since. Do your research before you buy, the 12 larger diodes and heavier windings verses 6 standard diodes and wiring was my selling point.
