Why does my Silverado radio not turn off?
The radio on my ’05 Silverado will no longer turn off when the RAP (retained accessory power) feature times out or when a door is opened. ( Have tried all four) There must be a relay for this feature but I can’t find a reference to show where it’s located. Of course it could be something else.
When does the Radio shut off when the door is opened?

What happens when the doors lock on a Chevy Silverado?
When the door locks start acting up the shift indicator flies back between Park and drive. The vehicle loses power and transmission shifts funny with all kinds of lights coming on on the dash. I checked connections at the battery all seem good. 7 people found this helpful.

What to do when your radio won’t turn off?
Usually, closing the door and re-opening will tun the radio off. Even if not, it will eventually turn off while the truck sits parked. Sometimes turning it on and off and reopening the door will turn it off. I’ll try the WD-40 fix.
