Tail lights are on a separate circuit from the brake/tail lights and there are two filaments in each bulb on the back end.

Any suggestions First check that the lamps in the stop lights are working, and if they are you have to check the interrupter that is on top of the brake pedal. Normally that is the one that fails… when stepping on the pedal it should send the signal to the lights, otherwise it won’t work
