I think it actually cranks with the immobiliser, it just doesn’t fire. Immobiliser wont turn on anything except for say radio. Hence when immob, the you can’t hear the fuel pump priming as its been cut until immobiliser releases it. I had the same problem this morning but that is because my key fob battery was dying.
