So far, the deal has changed out the heater control valve and the water pump. The engine continues to consume fluid so that every few hundred miles, I get a low coolant warning.

Anyhow if this is the first problem at that milage on a 1.6T is just amazing. Very few if none have posted similar milage on a 1.6T. Either leaking valve stem seals or a leaking turbo bearing. If it’s the turbo, then that can just be replaced and you might be fine for another 150k.
