The engine runs very well at idle even when I switch the A/C on. There is no misfires. When I compare the engine data with data from known good engine, the only thing that is different is the injection time. The broken engine injection time reaches 12 ms when the good engine injection will not go above 3 ms at the same speed.

You said you already covered replacing that mass air flow sensor though. Another cause of this is a bad ground to the mass airflow sensor. The wire that goes directly from the mass airflow sensor to the next connection may have a bad ground to it. You may have to replace it.

What’s the RPM on a Silverado that won’t Rev?
Put it into gear and accelerate, you have to give it a significant amount of throttle to get it up to speed. If you put it to the floor, it won’t rev beyond 4000 RPM. At ~2500 RPM with only enough throttle to maintain speed (transmission manually shifted to 3rd gear), it will surge and hunt.
