Why does my Ford truck say starting system fault?
The other day I get into my truck and I get the message in the dash “starting system fault”. Truck will not start with key. However the remote start will start the truck every time. But as soon as the key is entered the truck will shut down and give the same ” starting system fault” message.

I wasn’t sure what it was, but uninstalling the tune from my car solved the issue and the car started again without a problem.

A starter relay in the ( BJB ) – battery junction box, A fuse # F28 15 amp in the BCM , supply’s the ignition switch . Fuse # F89 40 amp. starter relay feed. With two modules involved I would bet there are codes stored in one of them.
