Never had any problems with the Territory in this regard. Had enormous problems in this area with my former new Holden Barina – became lifelong friends with the road service man. The solution, only slightly exaggerating, was a new set of spark plugs every week. I got rid of the car after it emptied the cooling system into the engine.

It could be a broken wire in the loom where it passes through into the door – this one gets the most flexing of any on the car – or a faulty lock motor. The drivers door solenoid operates the other doors, so I would be looking at that first. It might just need some wd40 sprayed on it. I have this problem too .

Check your door actuators and the switch for the interior light. Either one of the actuators is faulty ,causing the alarm and locking/unlocking and making the horn to sound. Had a falcon do the same thing,Territory has same as falcon. I’ve seen wiring and switch issues causing central locking to engage/disengage, but not the horn beeping as well.

I have a 2004 ford territory,when I go to open the glass section ,it makes a whirring sound and wont open,the complete tail gate opens ,no problem,its only the glass section this has trouble,what do you think it could be ?
