The Ignition Control Module is located on the left hand (driver’s side) inner fender, tucked in the corner. Ron Z. The heatsink and the module will be seperated, and the heatsink is re-usable.

Why did my Ford F-150 turn over no fire?
Yes we did all the tests checked everything my truck is fuel injected so it has no points we did everything that was suggested but stil no spark we must be missing something,but i dont know what else it could be 10 people found this helpful. Could be that the coil is weak. Blue spark is good, yellow spark means weak coil.

Without spark, the engine will crank but not start. Ignition control module (ICM). Depending on the year of your specific Ford, it’ll have a inner-fender mounted ignition control module or a distributor mounted ignition control module.

15 people found this helpful. 1992 Ford F-150 5.8L died while driving – replaced ignition coil and ignition module (no luck). there is still no spark. Talked to a mechanic – the signal from the distributor is not being transmitted to the ignition module. Instead of replacing the pickup, I decided to replace the whole distributor. Fingers crossed.
