I was trying to recharge the a/c on my 2005 Chevy Equinox but when I attached the gauge to the a/c low pressure port, the dial spiked over into the red zone (100) area. I’ve read that if the system has no refrigerant, there isn’t enough “juice” to make the compressor move, thus presenting an elevated reading.
