Finally figured it out. There are two different fuses for the trailer lights. Running lights are in the main rise box under the hood. The other light functions run off a different fuse in a small fuse box right next to the main fuse box. Its supposed to be a 20 amp fuse, someone put a 2 amp in there. Replaced the fuse and viola!

The trailer was working last we used it with my buddy’s truck. There are 3 different circuits going to the trailer. Park, r turn, l turn. If none of them work, I would bet its a grounding issue. There is only one ground wire and they all use it.

Yeah mine was the fuse aswell… sucks to always have to take that “do hicky” off then pull the fuse panel, and put it all back. then trying to juggle the manual to see which fuse is which….
How to troubleshoot no running lights but turn?
Then you want to inspect the running light wires throughout the trailer. They’re traditionally brown wires but may not be. Since you have two they’ll be the second and third wires starting on the side with the ground pin. Take a look at the picture I attached. Check for any damage or pinch points.

If all fuses and relays are good then the problem is somewhere between the trailer connector at the back of the truck and where it terminates at the front. You can use a circuit tester such as # 40376 to test the truck side trailer connector. If there is no power on the running light pin then check the back of the connector where the wires attach.

In the 2002 f250 there is only a fuse panel under the steering column. I replaced fuse 38 but still no trailer running lights. There is very little about the 2002 solution. First, we will want to determine where the problem is originating.

checked fuses seem ok, stop and turn work on trailer but it has no ruinnung lights that work, if dis connect from truck and use a batt, all trailer lights will work, got any ideas, ??? Your Ford F-150 might have relays related to the tow package wiring and not just fuses.
