The truck starts up just fine but sometimes when I accelerate it acts as if it doesn’t or can’t accelerate very fast. It takes a little bit of time before it will accelerate. Typically it has issues around 50-60mph Idles fine and starts fine. Just slowly started bogging during acceleration last week.

With this high miles, original motor and distrubutor hmmm could be the distributor? ? Today bogging will not stop. Fastest I got on freeway was 50mph.
Is the Distributer on my Chevy S10 bad?
Never thought distributer would go bad. Hate to spend another 100.00 hoping it will work but running out of options. Starts without any issue but when accelerating the engine seems to be muffled and will only give full power to accelerator when I reach speeds of 50 MPH.
Why does my car idle but no power?
Installed new fuel pump and it ran great for 2 months then it just lost power during ride home from work. Replaced fuel pump again with no results. Replaced both ignition coil packs and fuel filter, still no results. TPS is working fine. Not sure about fuel pressure regulator-and there is no port to check fuel pressure.
Pulling over and letting it sit for 10 15 minutes sometimes fixes the issue long enough for me to get home. Sometimes the problem happens again after 5-10 more minutes of driving. Truck otherwise runs great at idle, is not hard to start, doesn’t seem to use excessive fuel.

My 92 S10 blazer w/ FI, V6, std. trans., runs for about 5 minutes then dies and will not start. If left to sit the process will repeat. Let it sit overnight and it starts. I have tried letting it sit for an hour and it didn’t.

My first test would be with a vacume gauge. If the vacume is good it should hold between 25 and 29 at idle. May be a little low cause of the rough idle, but what your looking for Is for it to drop slowly to well below specs. This checks the catalyst converter it could be clogged.

Few days ago my wile driving my 1995 S10 2.2 I felt a little hesitation like it was time to change the spark plugs. just stop and id not want it to start at all. I check the fuel filter and visually check the gas pump flow and there is plenty of gas moving trough that area. Also check the sparks and they are all good. What else can it be? Ah!
