Why does my GMC Yukon make a ticking noise?

The dealer won’t even take it because they know the problem that they are dealing with. Started the motor in the morning noticed a light ticking noise come from the motor. Sounds like the lifters are tapping. The noise use to only be in the morning but now it is constant.
