The immobilizer system is responsible for keeping the car from turning on with an unregistered key. If the system is not allowing you to turn on the vehicle with a registered key, it is likely because of the presence of a second registered key, an automated payment device, or an automated toll road device.

I have 2007 Fod Mondeo mk4 with “Immobiliser active” on the dash. Starter cranks, but thats all. I used Ford IDS to check the faults and noticed that there is no communication with ABS control module. Since ABS ecu is a part of immo system,I thought I should start by checking it.

I have a 1994 Mondeo with a factory fit Bosch immobiliser. It has developed a fault where it is not releasing the fuel pump when you deactivate it. My garage has isolated this part of the system, but say it will have to go to Ford for a complete fix.

Something to look out for. Going along the M1, suddenly no engine. Wouldn`t restart, although engine was turning over. Diagnosed as no fuel getting to engine.
