Where is the reverse light switch on a car?

You need to locate the reverse light switch on the gearbox, it will be either a 1 or 2 pin plug on there and it will be somewhere near the gear selectors. Remove the plug. If it is one wire, connect a wire from the plug contact to the battery earth terminal. If it is 2 wires into the plug, bridge them together with a piece of wire or a split pin.
