This is a non-interference engine. Your 99 ES has a 3.0L vvt-i engine, I have been dealing with this motor on both Lexus and Toyota and have never had one damage when the belt breaks.

I hate to tell you this but the Gates chart has lots of errors and the errors are not limited to which engines are, or are not, interference.
