Why does my Lincoln MKZ not open the trunk?

I went to Lincoln but I live in Florida and all the snowbirds are back, so if I leave my car, they will have it for 4 days just to determine the problem….so I am just not using the trunk. I will try to go back next week unless I can figure out the problem myself.
