Why is my throttle body making clicking noise?
The throttle bodies click loudly. It is most pronounced when the engine is cold at idle but is annoyingly loud even when warmed up and well off idle. My understanding is this is is caused by worn bushings that support the butterfly in the throttle body. If the throttle cable pulleys are touched, the clicking goes away.

So after I replaced my battery I’ve been having some noise coming from the throttle body area…I’ve searched the forums and I can’t find the symptoms exactly like I’m having.

Then after I shut the truck off I will hear this clicking grinding noise as the throttle body/idle air valve returns to zero??
