Why is the front door lock on my Silverado not working?

On my 2008 Silverado, the door locking mechanism won’t work. I mean it can lock, but you have to manually push it down and it locks. All the other doors lock fine, but the front passenger door won’t lock by itself. What could I do to fix it?

The power lock in the door is what isn’t working. My key fob works perfectly as does the remaining 3 door locks it’s just the passenger front lock that isn’t working. If the fob and door switches dont do anything on that door, then you’re probably correct in thinking it’s the actuator. Seems funny it failed, because your truck isn’t that old.
