Are there any issues with my Chevy Colorado 4WD?
4wd issues. 2005 Colorado No lights on transfer case control switch . even LED’s were not coming on to back light the buttons. Replaced the switch with one from a junk yard back lights work but no indicator light as to what mode 2wd or 4wd the truck is in. Fuse is good, checked for voltage at plug of actuator and had voltage.
Is the 4×4 actuator on my GMC Canyon working?
The 4×4 actuator is working when i hit the 4hi button and the front axle fuse is not blown. Any ideas about what could be worng?
Why is the actuator on my 4WD not working?
When the bearing wears out that splined shaft no longer lines up correctly and the actuator attempts to slide the collar on to that shaft, but can’t because it’s not lined up correctly. Parts are cheap bearing for the axle tube and a new seal for the end where the CV axle slides in. Here’s a video of how to do it:

Why is my service 4WD indicator not working?
If the wires are broken, the actuator won’t operate and the actuator won’t move. If it does not move to the proper position, the buttons on the dash will blink and the “Service 4WD” indicator will be lit because the TCCM never sees a complete 4WD engagement. The ground wire to my front axle actuator was the culprit on my truck.
