Common questions

How does the L90 line protection system work?

How does the L90 line protection system work?

The L90 uses synchronized sampling at each relay to limit the impact of communications channel issues. The differential element’s adaptive restraint balances sensitivity for internal faults and security during external faults. The L90 supports inter-relay protection communications via direct fiber as well as different interfaces.

Why is my reverse not working on my 4L60E?

Valve Body Issues- A bad valve body can make the reverse gear not work in the 4L60E. If the valve body ends up warped, or if the gasket fails, it’s entirely possible that the gear won’t engage. Booster Valve- A bad booster valve can leave you without reverse in a hurry. Sun Shell- A broken sun shell will cause the 4L60E to lose reverse.

What does the L90 differential protection relay do?

The L90 is a high-end cost-effective line current differential protection relay intended for transmission lines and cables of different voltage levels, providing reliable and secure operation even under worst case power system conditions.

What are the features of the flexlogic L90?

The L90 incorporates advanced automation features including powerful FlexLogic™ programmable logic, communication, and SCADA capabilities that far surpass what is found in the average line relay. The L90 integrates seamlessly with other UR relays for complete system protection.

Can a 4L80E Trans shift in reverse?

I’ve got a 1992 chevy 2500 4×4 6.5TD/4L80E 3.42 gear The trans shifts great in all forward gears, no codes, and locks up the torque converter as it should. no slipping whatsoever. When put in reverse it clunks like its engaging, then won’t move, no sign of moving. It clunks like its in, but 100% freewheels.

Valve Body Issues- A bad valve body can make the reverse gear not work in the 4L60E. If the valve body ends up warped, or if the gasket fails, it’s entirely possible that the gear won’t engage. Why is there no reverse on my truck?

Not the worst job in the world, but a good day’s work. At that age no warranty left either… sucky. That would be your transmission. If you can get it up to highway speed, you’ll more than likely notice no overdrive either. Your transmission is more than likely skipping gears as well.

Can a pin be replaced on a 4L80E?

That is not common though. If you weld the pin, make sure to smooth it back up on the tip. If it still does not work, the band is broken and cannot be replaced without complete teardown. Thanks for the info.
