Oil underneath the car. Have it towed in. They took a look, found the rear main seal was blown out due to excessive pressure from a stuck/frozen PCV.. Now they’re stating there’s engine damage and recommend a replacement put in to the tune of $7-8 grand.

The seal housing will have a series of 6 to 8, 8mm or 10mm bolts holding the rear main seal housing to the rear of the engine block. Remove the bolts by turning them counterclockwise and also put them in a container for safe keeping. Now the seal housing will be able to be removed.
