Where does the hydraulic fluid in a John Deere come from?

Hydraulic fluid in the John Deere 2010 was extremely low so decided to just drain out what was left and put new in. Also trying to find where the leak in the back is coming from, apparently from a hole in the bottom of the transmission that probably servers some purpose. What’s the problem with my John Deere tractor?

I am having trouble with the power steering and loader on my John Deere 5510 Tractor with power reverser transmission. When I first start the tractor and try to raise the bucket, I either get no response or a really jerky operation. Once the transmission has warmed up, the jerking goes away, at least for the most part.

Why is there a leak in my hydraulic system?

Due to the high pressure, and constant motion of the rams, motors and pump, it’s not unusual to find leaks in your hydraulic system even with proper maintenance.   You will notice these leaks possibly by a lack of power or force in your system, or more obviously in a fluid leak or drip.

When to replace Seal on John Deere load control shaft?

Parts diagram of the load control shaft, seals and bushings for a 1520. The bushings that sixbales mentioned are item # 16 and should be replaced if you’re replacing the load control shaft seals. The bushings wear and don’t provide enough surface area for the O’ring and back-up ring to seal.

Why are hydraulic couplers leaking on my Tractor?

It only does it when the loader is connected and lifted with pressure. I just cleaned them off expecting to find only one leaking but two are. I find this odd on a tractor with about 200 hours on it (2 years old).
