Need help. Is this a cable auto header machine? if it is the problem has to be in the valve stack My 1420 had an issue where a port stripped the threads or something and the header would continually raise itself, there was a service bulletin on it that the tech found after a couple trips down to get her going.

Is the New Holland header too tall on the 1480?

A call to the guy I bought the combine from revealed that he had always ran a New Holland header on the IH 1480. After making a feeder house harness and ordering a different header potentiometer, the system is erratic and there is no control over the height of the header.

Why is my 1440 Combine running out of steam?

Does not have enough power to take it all the way and it takes about the same time to get it to close, but does not have enough power to place it back into the support saddle. This gets worse the hotter that the oil gets. The reel never does get up more that half and runs out of steam.

How to set Auto Header height on a combine?

The accumulator needs to be closed for the bean head . Check the fuses , then you will need the the correct potentiometer for the 1400 series combine . Start the combine turn on the auto header , set the header height in the middle along with the senativity , then move the switch on the hydro to the down .
