You want the pcv valve going to the carb base and leave the breather in the other valve cover. The connector on the base of the air cleaner could be connected to the side where you are going to leave the breather. The ‘stock’ish set up would have been a PCV valve and one valve cover connected to the bottom of the intake. Carb base.
