The machine has a Manual regulator installed so it’s a manual machine now and all the electrical wires that were present before has been removed before we bought it.

At the start the hydraulics are good but not too power- full (A little bit fast) but after nearly 10 to 30 minutes of operation the hydraulics slows down and engines makes a sound like it’s giving up and gives black smoke. Thanks for your help….really appreciate your comments….

yes this is the only function that does not work. Yes the large lines do get tight with pressure with i try to swing. Yes we have removed the motor from the drive gear and the machine can be pushed around while it is removed. The smallest lines are for swing brake. It will connect to a solenoid to control it. Check for power to the solenoid.

There is a plate on the base of the house under the boom foot with two bolts in it. It is not unheard of for the slewing bearing to wear out as you stated. I usually use a dial indicator and check the up and down play in the bearing. Run the bucket to full dump, the stick all the way out and boom up off the ground slightly.

Hi, I have a Hitachi EX100-3 excavator that is overheating after 30-40 min work in around 35 degrees celcius temperatures. It seems to be ok with light work on cooler days but pretty bad on these hotter days. After pulling the radiator out and having it cleaned I decided to check the water pump while the radiator was out.

Also get yourself a heat gun (infa red thermometer) to check the hydraulic oil temp at the cooler. Hot hydraulics cause the the water temps to climb. In those temps on an excavator, the air flow is critical.
