Why is my Peterbilt 379 return flow splitter leaking?
Return flow splitter was leaking. I thought it was at the threaded line connections. Turns out it was the splitter body itself. Took it apart. It houses a check door,spring and a rectangular rubber gasket. Cleaned the mating faces up and applied thin line of gasket maker to the outer perimeter of original gasket. Allowed gasket maker to dry a bit.
Is there a problem with my 2006 Pete?
I bought a new 2006 Pete last year in March and I have been having a problem with this engine since I hit about 95,000 miles (2 months ago) This truck has been to 3 different shops, and all three shops know that the truck is missing but can’t seem to find the problem.
Is the C-15 engine idled at 1000 rpm?
If you read your manual the c-15 should be idled at 1000 rpm if has to sit longer than 5 min. I have seen this before on a few Mack trucks in Australia.
