The Lift Pump sits only about 8″ below the floor level right under the access opening. I can kneel or even lay on my stomach (on a nice soft blanket I might add) and the lift pump is right there. Mine is the original pump and the problem is indeed the gasket leaking.

Cummins Atlantic found algae in the lift pump, the result of my not knowing that there was water in my fuel tank. It was the algae that ruined the lift pump. The solution to the problem, in addition to replacing the lift pump, was to install a second fuel filter between the fuel tank and the lift pump.

Is the Cummins ISC 360 a diesel pusher engine?
I have a Cummins ISC 360 which is considered a small diesel pusher engine compared to the Cummins 650 that is installed in high end motorhomes today. Was there a time when 360 horsepower for a motorhome was considered top of the line huge?
