Most likely the seat switch is wired in series with the fuel injector relay, but not with the starter relay, so even with the seat switch messed up, it will still let it crank (however, with no signal to the fuel relay you’ll never get any fuel.) Got it. Starting to make more sense.

Call a NH dealer and get a service manual. They are spendy, but valuable. Sounds nuts but i have not one but 2 switches under my seat that have push buttons when weight is applied to seat. They’re identical. One towards back and one towards front.

Why does my New Holland diesel engine not start?
I would suggest cracking the injector lines and cranking to see if any fuel spurts out…if not, then it’s a fuel problem and/or air bound. Most of these engines have a small thumb primer located at the injection pump. You will most likely see/smell fuel from the exhaust if it is getting fuel.
