Still won’t start without service switch on. All fuses are good. at the connecrot behind the seat, all 3 pins show continuity with someone in the seat and the seat belt connector is plugged in. I have sat in the seat then hooked up the seat belt jumper for the computer to see the correct sequence, still no-go.

I have no schematic diagram. if you open the small panel at the top of the right hand window, there is a service / run switch. if you move it to service then you bypass the seat and seat belt switches. you will be able to start and move the machine, but no hydraulic functions. this will tell you if the problem is in the seat or seat belt switches.

Is the New Holland skid steer l170 safe?

I just bought a used New Holland skid steer L170 with 2,000 hours. Sometimes it’s fine, but sometimes it just won’t start. The safety feature recognizes that I’m sitting in the seat and the belt is buckled, the solenoid clicks but it won’t turn over. Anybody know what this might be? I’d take the battery cables off, clean them and tighten .
