Is it necessary to change out turbo on ISX?
All I had to do was reburn the ECM, and put in a fake DPF canister for back pressure on the turbo so it won’t overspool. It cost me $3,000 parts and labor. You can change out turbo, but not required.

Talked to a guy that spent 20 grand to rebuild his ISX. You cannot compare a N14 to a ISX, not even the same design engine. Like Heavy D said, there is no one price because there is no telling how much damage the run away engine could have caused.
Why is my Cummins ISX engine not turning?
They took oil pan out and told be that rods seem fine, then they went deeper in to the engine and supposedly tried to reversed it to get oil out that might have clogged it. But the engine still wouldn’t turn, they tell me that i have to overhaul it.
