Why is my Mack E7 blowing white smoke?
At work we have a 97 E7 mechanical and shes not runing too good. just sitting if you give it throtle it gets up to like 1500 rpms and starts sputering and blowing white smoke. Its got 300k or so miles on it. New pump and injectors. Could there be an adjustment on the pump or something thats out?

We had a problem with a 2001 E7 like barber shop said and it was the cam. But thats electronic. It smokes white pretty bad when its sputtering My brothers 94 E7 had a small hose up toward the front of the pump that had rubbed and was leaking.
Which is pump got replaced in Mack E7?
There is an electronic timing advance situtated between the f.i. pump and timing case. Which pump got replaced? The fuel injection pump, or just the primer/fuel supply pump? Can’t remember for sure off of hand, but there might be an overflow valve like the p-pumped Cummins has. That could be the problem as well.

Sounds like it might be a timing issue. Is the engine fully mechanical, or an electronically controlled in-line fuel injection pump like our ’95 E7 is? There is an electronic timing advance situtated between the f.i. pump and timing case. Which pump got replaced? The fuel injection pump, or just the primer/fuel supply pump?

Can a 427 CCRs engine have low power?
